About

Brooklyn artist Jennie Booth’s work is cerebral and challenging in its quietness.  At heart, she is a colorist. Her paintings are glowing gems of light and hue emerging from a black gessoed background. She gives space and form to solitude and longing; her work being completely self-created without use of AI or a computer. Booth has exhibited internationally with recent solo shows at Brooklyn’s Honey Badger Motel Gallery and The Sheen Center for Thought and Culture NYC. Her work has been exhibited at the Bernard Heller Museum in New York City and Culture Lab LIC with an upcoming show at the Limen Museum in Italy. She has been a Fellow at many artist residencies including the Vermont Studio Center, Cill Rialaig Ireland and the Sharpe Foundation. Booth has a rich bibliography that spans print and digital genres.  She maintains a Brooklyn studio through the Chashama Space-To-Create Program.
